Mizoram Educational Journal is a publication of Mizoram Educational Foundation, a registered Society with registration no. S.R./MZ-64 of 2005-06 dated 6th September, 2005. Publication of the said journal was started way back in 2006 with the first issue released on 3rd November, 2006 by the then Hon’ble Minister, Higher and Technical Education, Government of Mizoram. With the objective of disseminating educational ideas, knowledge and experiences among the public in the state, the journal was published in Mizo, a local language of the state of Mizoram. The journal was registered with the RNI in 2010. It became a refereed journal from 2013. Since then the Mizoram Educational Foundation has been publishing the journal in English to cater to a wider group of scholars from various disciplines. By 2015, the journal was assigned an ISSN (P): 2395-731X and also became a national refereed journal. As a result, volume number and issue number of the journal were started afresh. In 2017, the journal was in the UGC approved list at Sl. No. 1232 and was assigned Journal No. 64544. However, it was among the many journals which were dropped from the list in 2018. Of late, with increasing demands and a deep desire for more diverse content, manuscripts from other disciplines have also been accepted and published. making this journal a multidisciplinary journal.
